Under the name Original Cocktails, we manufacture superior quality alcoholic beverages called Original Iced* and Original Shaken Cocktails.  We distribute throughout South Africa via Halewood distribution and our products are available on and off consumption,in outlets with liquor licences.

Original strawberry Daiquiri is blended to perfection with real strawberry juice, a dash of lime and rum to give you a cool refreshing sensation. Garnish your Daiquiri glass with a strawberry and strawberry leaves or mint leaves. Original Pina Colanda is the perfect blend of real pineapple juice, coconut and rum to give you a delicious tropical island style pina colada. Original Margarita is a refreshing combination of real lemon juice, lime and tequila. Run a lemon wedge around your margarita glass, dip the rim in salt and decorate with a slice lime. These combined targeted interventions are an important way in which governments, public health organizations, and the alcohol beverage industry can partner together in fighting alcohol abuse and misuse. The ARA is proud of its achievements to date, working in partnership with these various stakeholders to address the problems of alcohol abuse and misuse and will continue work towards ensuring that the message of responsible alcohol use is conveyed to every community in our society. This is a problem that requires new insights, urgent action, and open dialogue. Central to IARD’s work is our role as Secretariat of the Beer, Wine and Spirits Producers’ Commitments to Reduce Harmful Drinking. FARR The Foundation for Alcohol Related Research (FARR) is the leading NGO source of research and information on Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders (FASD) and the most severe form of this disorder, namely Fetal Alcohol Syndrome (FAS) in South Africa. As such, it is their mouthpiece and representative at all relevant forums and in dealings with Government. For over 5,000 years, people have consumed various forms of beverage alcohol as a normal part of a variety of social activities. Around the world, beverage alcohol products are enjoyed every day by adults as an ordinary part of life. Most people who drink alcohol beverages do so moderately and responsibly. Only a minority of drinkers abuse alcohol and cause problems for themselves or others. For nearly as long as people have enjoyed alcohol beverages, governments have sought to regulate them and alcohol beverage producers fully acknowledge that our products should be regulated. Alcohol beverages are intended for adult enjoyment, and should only be consumed by people above the legal drinking age who are not at risk. No one should ever drive while intoxicated, serve alcohol to intoxicated persons, or violate any other law or regulation concerning alcohol beverage products. We fully support vigorous enforcement of these laws and regulations. There is little scientific evidence to suggest that population-based approaches will change problematic drinking patterns that are culturally based. Moreover, population-based approaches cannot differentiate between those who exhibit problematic drinking patterns and the vast majority of drinkers who consume alcohol moderately and responsibly. Governments, public health organizations, and the alcohol beverage industry agree that there is much more to do in the fight against the irresponsible consumption of alcohol beverages. Targeted interventions hold great promise in educating consumers and changing behaviours that harm individuals and society at large, while at the same time preserving the social, economic, and public health benefits associated with responsible consumption of commercial alcohol beverages. The industry is committed to continuing to develop, implement and support a broad array of targeted intervention programs to achieve substantial reductions in irresponsible consumption and a substantial improvement in public health, and we look forward to working with other stakeholders in this process.
